PDF Editor is a PDF reader and editing tool. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles documents, local app data, and OCR features.

Documents and Local Files

PDF Editor lets you open, view, edit, annotate, fill, sign, scan, encrypt, decrypt, and manage PDF files. Documents and related editing data are processed on your device.

When you open or import a file, the app may create a local working copy to support editing, saving, sharing, recent documents, and workspace features. These files remain on your device unless you choose to share, export, or delete them.

Signatures, Forms, and OCR Results

Handwritten signatures, form values, annotations, scanned images, OCR results, and edited PDF output are stored locally as needed for the features you use.

OCR and Google ML Kit

PDF Editor uses Google ML Kit and Google Play services for OCR and related document recognition features. OCR can recognize text from a selected region, page image, or scanned document.

Recognition is performed on the device where supported. Google Play services may download or update machine learning models required for OCR or document recognition. Processing by Google ML Kit or Google Play services is governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy policy.

Permissions

PDF Editor may request access needed for app features, such as opening documents, importing images, scanning documents, saving exported files, or sharing output. Permission access is used for the action you choose in the app.

Sharing and Export

When you share, export, or save a copy of a document, the selected file or generated output is sent to the destination you choose, such as another app, the Android file picker, or a storage location.

Data Retention

Workspace files, recent documents, signatures, and settings are stored locally on your device. You can remove documents or app data through available app actions, Android system settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

PDF Editor is a general productivity app and is not directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app changes or when platform, store, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be made available through the app listing or another appropriate location.
